Chaos Player Revive

by goddark831

Chaos Player Revive changes player death into a downed state, where teammates can revive the player using kits, with a red glow and a HUD showing progress.

FabricForgeNeoForgeClient and serverCC0 1.0 Universal1.20.1 – 26.3

What it does

When a player's health reaches zero, the player enters a downed state instead of dying. A downed player collapses, crawls slowly and cannot fight, and other players see a red glow around them and a red name tag above. A downed player who chooses to give up forces the death immediately by holding a button.

Teammates revive a downed player by right-clicking while holding a revive kit. The Bandage Kit revives at twice the normal speed, fills hearts, stacks and uses one item per revive. The First Aid Kit revives at three times the speed, fills hearts, grants two extra absorption hearts, and lasts four uses. The mod requires Fabric API and runs on both client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with builds for the listed range, and is released under CC0 1.0 Universal, which is not open source.

Key features

  1. Downed state

Health at zero puts the player into a crawling state with slow movement and no fighting, instead of ending the life.

  2. Revive kits

The Bandage Kit and the First Aid Kit each restore a downed player at a different speed, with one item per use.

  3. Downed HUD

A centered downed screen shows progress bars and item indicators, with red glow and particle effects in the config.

  4. Give-up option

A downed player can hold a button to end the life early instead of waiting for a teammate.

What the author says

How it works: - Injured players collapse and crawl slowly, unable to fight, with a clear visual indicator: a red glowing outline and a red nametag. - Teammates can revive them by right-clicking and holding on the downed player. - Downed players can also force death by holding a button if they give up hope.
