Paragliders

Paragliders brings the glider from Breath of the Wild into Minecraft, with a stamina bar that limits how long a player can stay airborne.
What it does
Holding a paraglider and jumping from a height lets the player glide. The item can be dyed, and a Deku Leaf skin modeled on The Wind Waker is offered as a cosmetic alternative. Flame sources create rising air currents that a glider can ride upward, and rising wind particles show where those currents are while the item is held. Stamina is spent while gliding; an optional setting also makes running and swimming draw from it. Stamina can be disabled in the config file. Heart Containers and stamina upgrades raise maximum health and stamina.
The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later and is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge. Files cover game versions 1.20.1 – 26.2, with 20.1.4 as the latest Fabric file for 1.20.1 and 26.2.1 as the latest NeoForge file for 26.2. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Config options and datapacks control the wind sources, wind height, durability, horizontal glide speed and the amount of health and stamina a player starts with.

Wind sources can be set by block tags or blockstates, and single drops or upgrade types can be turned off.
