Ocean's Enhancements (Alpha) adds marine creatures, coral, shells and pearls to ocean biomes for Forge players on 1.19.2 and 1.20.1.
What it does
Ocean's Enhancements adds life and small details to ocean biomes. Seahorses come in several colors, and luminescent seahorses appear in deeper water. Clownfish, blue tang and goldfish swim among new vegetation, and several coral types are placed on the seabed, including Bubble Coral, which releases bubbles while it stays in place. New vegetation only generates in chunks created after the mod is installed, so existing worlds keep their old terrain.
Pearl Oysters produce pearls underwater and can be collected with a right-click. They regrow over time, so a single oyster can be harvested again. Seashells can also be collected by right-click, and pearls serve as crafting material for decorative blocks. Because the mod is on the client and the server, both sides run it. The alpha builds for 1.19.2 and 1.20.1 are published for Forge only, and the author notes that heavy use alongside other mob mods can cause animation lag, so players should watch performance on busy servers.
