Note Block Master extends the vanilla note block with tuning options for note range, delay, volume and sustain, so songs can be composed with more control.

What it does

A vanilla note block can be converted into an Advanced Note Block by right-clicking it while holding the Note Tuner, which costs three gold nuggets from the inventory. The tuner also shows a see-through readout of the block's settings up to 16 blocks away while held. Players set the note range, from C1 to F6 by default, and the delay, with the Tempo Tuner handling delay values from 0 to 19 subticks.

The mod changes how sound behaves after a note is played. Volume can be set from 100% down to 5%, which removes the decay that normally falls off with distance, and a sustain option lets selected notes ring longer. The sustained notes apply to the Harp, Bass and Flute instruments in the default setup. Minimum and maximum note duration, subtick startup and the default delay of 95 ms, equal to 19 subticks, are exposed in the config file.

Note Block Master is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and runs on NeoForge alone. Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files cover 1.21.1, 1.21.2 and 1.21.3, with 0.7.8.6 for 1.21.1 as the latest release.

Multiple items for quality of life while composing are added You can adjust min and max note as well as the duration of a subtick in the startup config. Only Harp, Bass and Flute has sustained notes so far. (Not happy with harp yet)
