More Paths

by rotgruengelb

More Paths adds extra path block variants to Minecraft, including crimson and warped nylium paths, and its own Nether nylium paths, for Fabric and Quilt.

FabricQuiltClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source1.21 – 1.21.1

What it does

Right-clicking the matching nylium with a shovel produces each new path block, extending the existing dirt path behavior to the Nether. Silk Touch collects a path block in its own form: mining one with that enchantment returns the path item, and the dirt path variant behaves identically. The mod targets 1.21 and 1.21.1, and Fabric API is required on Fabric.

Installation needs to be the same on both sides: the server and every player must run More Paths. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the project publishes a source repository and an issue tracker. Files exist for Fabric and Quilt, with 0.1.0 for 1.21.1 as the latest build, published on 2025-03-16 after a first release on 2025-03-11.

Key features

  1. Crimson nylium paths

Crimson nylium turns into a new path block when right-clicked with a shovel.

  2. Warped nylium paths

Warped nylium can likewise be shoveled into a dedicated path block, sitting beside the other Nether variants.

  3. Silk Touch drops

Each new path, along with the dirt path, drops its own item when mined with Silk Touch.

  4. Nether nylium paths

The Nether nylium paths extend the mod to the Nether biome set, using the same shovel interaction.

Use cases

Nether builds

Builders who decorate Nether bases can lay down crimson and warped paths that match the surrounding nylium.

Survival collection

Players who want to keep path blocks after mining them can use Silk Touch on each variant.

Who it’s for: Players and builders who want more path variants in the Nether, and server owners who run Fabric or Quilt on 1.21 or 1.21.1 and can install the mod on both sides.

How it compares

Full comparison

Silk Touch Dirt Path is a Fabric, Forge and Quilt mod for 1.17 – 1.21.1 that only changes dirt paths, and the server needs it while clients may skip it. Path Exponential is a Fabric and NeoForge mod for 1.21 – 1.21.11 with the same server-required setup, and it is not open source. More Paths covers the Nether nylium paths on Fabric and Quilt for 1.21 and 1.21.1, and it needs both sides to run it.
