List my Mods

by downloadableduck

List my Mods is a Fabric and Quilt client mod that writes the installed mod list to a file, chat or preview, in several formats.

FabricQuiltClient-side onlyMIT LicenseOpen source26.1 – 26.3

What it does

The mod gives a player a simple way to view the mods installed in the game. A command lists them in chat, and the list can be exported as a text file or a formatted file saved under the .minecraft folder. Each list can be previewed in the game so its layout can be checked before sharing.

Four ways to view the mod list are offered, and the more thorough list includes each mod's version, ID and authors. The formatted file keeps its links clickable and can be opened in code hosting services or note apps. The command can open the exported file in the application associated with it, such as VS Code or Notepad.

Players use the output when reporting issues, sharing a mod setup, or posting stack traces on forums. Fabric API is required. The mod is client-side only, so the server and other players do not need it. The code is under the MIT License and is open source, and public links exist for the source code and the issue tracker.

Key features

  1. Mod list in chat

A command prints the installed mods in the chat window, with four display options for different levels of detail.

  2. Text file export

The list is saved as a plain text file in the .minecraft folder, ready to paste elsewhere.

  3. Detailed listing

Questions

Does List my Mods need Fabric API?

Yes. Fabric API is listed as a required dependency and must be installed alongside the mod on Fabric or Quilt.

Does the server need List my Mods?

No. It is installed on the player's side alone, so servers need nothing. The server can run without it.

Which game versions does the mod support?

Files cover 26.1 – 26.3 with five release versions: 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3. The latest file, 1.0.2-26.1.x, is for 26.3 and was published on 2026-04-28.

How does it differ from Mod Menu?

Mod Menu is used for configuring and viewing mods but cannot export a list to share with others. List my Mods exports the list as text or a formatted file.
