KantoSpawners

by CobbleKanto

KantoSpawners lets map makers place a configurable Cobblemon Spawner block in a world and control which species appear there, at what level and how often.

FabricClient and serverCustom license1.21.1

What it does

A spawner block is placed through an open editor, where its rules are set: a weighted list of species written as species:chance, a minimum and maximum level, a shiny chance, a spawn range, a spawn delay and a cap on how many spawned creatures may stay nearby. Creators can use it where they want a specific species in a specific place, instead of relying only on biome spawns. Cobblemon's natural spawning continues to exist, and the spawner adds controlled encounters beside it.

The mod was made for the CobbleKanto project, where its creators needed to control encounter areas more precisely, and it is aimed at map makers, adventure servers, minigames, routes, dungeons, event zones and adventure builds. An optional aggressive mode starts battles automatically when a player is nearby. The spawner only tries to spawn while a player is close, which reduces background activity in empty areas. The mod is for Fabric and requires Cobblemon. Files exist for 1.21.1 only, and the latest is 0.0.4, released on 2026-07-15. The code is under a custom license and is not open source.

Key features

  1. Configurable spawner block

A Cobblemon Spawner block whose behavior is set through its own settings, not by the biome it sits in.

  2. Weighted species list

Species are entered as species:chance pairs, so each spawn picks from a list where some species are more likely than others.

  3. Level, shiny and range settings

Minimum and maximum level, shiny chance, spawn range and spawn delay can each be set for a single spawner.

  4. Optional aggressive mode

When enabled, a battle starts automatically with a nearby player, which suits scripted encounters inside dungeons and routes.
