Just Pets
Just Pets adds cute animal pets that players can tame and keep as companions while exploring the world.
What it does
Pets are tamed with dried seeds, which the mod's animals accept, and the taming process is the main way to gain a companion. Some animals can be found in the desert and badlands biomes, and a smoker-based recipe also appears in the mod's content. The current pet listed by the author is a rooster.
The mod runs on Forge and is published for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6, with files for six release versions. It is client and server, so both the server and every player need it. The author notes that pets are meant as companions and do not add much combat help. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source.
