What it does

Ion Chests (compat) adds integration between chest and storage mods rather than new chests of its own. Its author notes list compatibility work with Quark and Iron Chests, support for Charset Storage and Iron Chests, and a link to Charset Barrels through Dropoff. Quark's chest buttons and item search bar are also covered, so those features behave with non-vanilla chests from other mods.

A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. It is published for Forge only, with a single release, 1.0.0 for 1.12.2, dated 2022-05-28. The code is licensed as All rights reserved, and the mod is not open source.

Key features

  1. Quark chest buttons

Quark's chest buttons and item search bar work with chests added by other mods, not only vanilla chests.

  2. Iron Chests support

Chests from the Iron Chests family are covered by the compatibility layer, so they interact with the other integrated storage mods.

  3. Dropoff and Charset Barrels

Dropoff support extends to Charset Barrels, letting item drops reach barrels from that mod.
