Infinite Trades
by SatDPhoe
Infinite Trades lets players the server owner names trade with villagers and wandering traders with no restock wait, using Forge's interaction events.
What it does
Built for Forge, this server-side utility lets server administrators, SMP operators and modpack builders skip the vanilla villager restock limit for chosen players. Access is granted through Minecraft's native tag system: a player holding the configured tag, which defaults to infinite, can repeat the same trade without a villager's offers running out. Grants use standard commands such as tag add.
When a trade is attempted, the mod intercepts the action just before the trading screen opens and resets the use count of the available offers, so the player receives the exact same items as often as needed. Because it hooks clean Forge interaction events, the performance cost on the server stays small. Changes to the tag and debug messages can be toggled in game without a restart.
The mod works with villagers, wandering traders and other custom merchants added by other mods. It is a fit for VIP rewards or merchant-managed shops that supply blocks for building without disturbing the economy of the rest of the server. Installation needs Forge 47.4.10 or newer, and the mod is published for 1.20.1 – 1.20.6. It is not open source and is released under All rights reserved. Players join without it, since only the server has to run the mod.
Key features
Tag-based access
Players who hold the configured tag get unlimited trades, and the tag can be added or removed with standard commands.
In-game control
Administrators can switch the tag system and enable debug messages in game without needing a server restart.
Instant trade reset
The use count of the offers is reset just before the trading screen opens, so repeated trades never wait on a villager.
Custom merchant support
Trades work with villagers, wandering traders and merchant entities added by other mods, not only vanilla ones.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
