Covering auction house prices, item tooltips and chat display, HugoSMP Tweaks is a Fabric mod that runs only on the client and adds usability changes aimed at the HugoSMP server.
What it does
Players who join the HugoSMP server install this mod on their own client to change how some screens and messages read. It is aimed at usability and readability, and it leaves gameplay mechanics untouched, so nothing about how items, mobs or progression work is altered. Each category of change can be switched on or off separately from the others.
The mod depends on YetAnotherConfigLib (YACL) for its settings screen, and Mod Menu is needed to open that screen from the game menu, although the mod itself runs without it. Changes are configured per player. The mod is published for Fabric only, across the 1.21.4 – 1.21.11 range, with the latest file built for 1.21.11 and released on 2026-01-03. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, with its source code and issue tracker public.

Auction house prices
Shows the price per item and the total price of a full stack in the auction house listings.
Item value tooltips
Adds a per-item value line to tooltips, including for stacked items, so the cost of a whole stack is clear at a glance.
Configurable colors
Colors used by the price and value displays can be changed in the settings screen.
Chat display options
Public, system, private, clan and friend system messages each have their own display options in chat.
Per-category toggles
Each category of change can be enabled or disabled individually, so a player keeps only the parts they want.
