Hey Berry! SHUT UP
by LobsterJonn
Hey Berry! SHUT UP changes how berry bushes hurt villagers, so villagers no longer take damage from the bushes' thorns in villages.
What it does
Berry bush thorns normally damage anything that walks through them. This mod changes that for villagers: they no longer take damage from berry bushes, and the thorns are instead made armor-piercing for players, so leg protection no longer keeps the player safe from them. A config option can turn berry bush damage off for everyone. Environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge across 10 release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.1, under All rights reserved.
Key features
Villagers spared from thorns
Villagers walking past or through berry bushes in village areas take no damage from the thorns.
Armor-piercing thorns
Berry bush thorns ignore armor when they hit players, so leg protection does not reduce their damage.
Configurable berry bush damage
A config option disables berry bush damage entirely, for servers that want the bushes to be harmless.

What the author says
Villager AI is not great at times and when a village spawns in an area with berry bushes, the villagers will gladly walk around to their death. This mod disabled damage done to villagers by evil berry bushes.
