Happy Ghast Tiers
Happy Ghast Tiers gives Happy Ghasts a harness upgrade path, so riders can gain a small flying speed boost through several tiers.
What it does
Harnesses are crafted like vanilla and then upgraded through multiple tiers, from Leather to Netherite, by applying upgrades in sequence. Reinforced Upgrades let a player skip straight to a desired tier. Each new tier adds a small, noticeable increase in flying speed, and the mod also adds five new harness tiers that change how fast a Happy Ghast flies.
The mod adds Ghast Treats, crafted from snowballs and blaze powder, which give a temporary boost similar to rockets and elytra. A planned future release will add an enchantment that raises flying speed in steps across three levels. Happy Ghasts with a rider are slowed automatically to default speeds, and an in-game admin config can toggle whether harnesses are found as chest loot instead of crafted, and set custom tier speeds.
Upgraded harnesses can be dyed to another color, but once a harness is upgraded its color becomes locked so Minecraft does not overwrite the custom data, and future upgrades keep that color. Players can still dye plain vanilla harnesses normally. Netherite-tier harnesses are fireproof and behave like vanilla Netherite items, so they are not destroyed by lava or fire. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and a data pack version is available for servers. It is licensed under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
