Extended Molecular Assembler
by myogoo
Extended Molecular Assembler adds a 9x9 molecular assembler to Applied Energistics 2, letting players encode crafting patterns beyond the vanilla 3x3 grid.
What it does
The machine works like the Applied Energistics 2 Molecular Assembler, but with a larger crafting area. Patterns can be encoded for recipes that do not fit a 3x3 grid, and the extended pattern encoding terminal selects supported recipe table providers when a pattern is written. Wireless Universal Terminal support is included for the encoding terminal.
Applied Energistics 2 and Applied Energistics 2 Wireless Terminals are required, along with Myotus Lib. Several optional add-ons, including AdvancedAE, Extended AE and Extended Crafting, can extend the same network. The mod runs on Forge and NeoForge, and the environment is client and server, so the server and every player need it. Files cover 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only.
Key features
9x9 molecular assembler
A machine that crafts across a 9x9 grid, larger than the standard Applied Energistics 2 assembler.
Extended pattern encoding
Crafting patterns can be encoded for recipes beyond the vanilla 3x3 grid, using the larger grid of the new machine.
Pattern encoding terminal
An encoding terminal selects supported recipe table providers, so a pattern is written for the right machine.
Wireless terminal support
The encoding terminal can be used through a wireless universal terminal, so patterns can be written from anywhere in the network.

Use cases
Automated large recipes
Players whose autocrafting chains need recipes wider than 3x3 can encode them directly into the network.
Who it’s for: Applied Energistics 2 players who build autocrafting setups, and server owners who want the larger assembler on a shared network.
How it compares
