Eternity
Eternity is a NeoForge mod by Bluebird Studios that adds unique swords with special abilities, a bottomless bag, and collectible coins, music discs and librarian-related content.
What it does
Eternity's swords are a set of unique weapons that gain abilities as they are used. Their durability is a central mechanic: a sword cannot break, but it needs to be refuelled from time to time with specific items. Some swords take part of their durability from another sword that is eaten, so damage dealt by one sword can raise the remaining durability of another. Parts for the swords turn up when a player brushes suspicious gravel or sand, a method that relies on the archaeology system, and loot also appears inside chests found in shipwrecks, woodland mansions and geodes.
The mod adds several smaller systems alongside the swords. A bottomless bag gives players extra storage for everyday items, and a fragment of a librarian's soul can be collected and used. Book discoveries work as a functional progression element, and a nymph's dance is one of the mod's features. Coins can be collected and later exchanged for valuable items, in line with the tropical explorer theme, and a music disc is added as well. The mod is intended to teach game mechanics through these features.
Eternity requires NeoForge and is published only for that loader, in 2 release versions: 1.21 and 1.21.1, with 1.2.6 for 1.21.1 as the latest file. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is not open source and is released under All rights reserved.
