EnderFruit

by Hasware

EnderFruit is a Fabric food item that teleports the player a short distance in the direction they are looking when eaten.

FabricClient or server, optionalMIT License1.21.5

What it does

Eating an EnderFruit moves the player up to 10 blocks toward the point they are facing. Unlike chorus fruit, which moves the player at random, the destination is chosen by the player's aim. The teleport can be used to cross gaps, climb past obstacles or pass through a wall up to 10 blocks thick, which an ender pearl or chorus fruit cannot do.

The item is aimed at survival play, where it works as a mobility tool during fights and while building or crossing terrain. Players can flee an attacker by aiming away from it, and the fruit can be used to recover from a fall. Installation is optional on both sides: it needs only the Fabric loader, and it can be added to a client or a server without the other side having it. Files are published for Fabric, for 1.21.5 only, and the code is under the MIT License, but the project is not open source.

Key features

  1. Aim-directed teleport

The fruit sends the player toward the block they are looking at, not to a random spot nearby.

  2. Wall passing

The teleport can carry the player through walls up to 10 blocks thick, where ender pearls and chorus fruit fail.

  3. Escape and recovery

Aiming away from an attacker lets the player break contact, and the teleport can be used to get back up after a fall.

  4. Repeatable use

Players can keep eating the fruit to continue moving, including while looking upward.

Questions

Which loader does EnderFruit need?

EnderFruit is published for Fabric only, and its latest file is 1.0.0 for 1.21.5.

Does EnderFruit have to be installed on the server?

No. It works on either side, and neither needs it, so the mod can be added to a client or a server alone.

Can EnderFruit teleport through solid blocks?

It can carry the player through walls up to 10 blocks thick, which is the point where ender pearls and chorus fruit stop working.

What the author says

When consumed, the Enderfruit instantly teleports you a few blocks in the direction you’re facing. Unlike a regular chorus fruit, it doesn’t teleport you randomly — it moves you with precision. Upon consumption, you'll teleport up to 10 blocks towards the direction you're looking.
