Elytra Infinite Flight
by Drkkk
Elytra Infinite Flight removes the usual limits on gliding, letting a player keep flying with the Elytra for as long as they want.
What it does
The mod lets a player fly with an Elytra without the usual limits. A player builds a platform at least 50 blocks high, jumps off it and engages flight mode to glide across the world. Flight is meant for open exploration, so a player can cross large landscapes and reach spots that are otherwise hard to get to.
The mod is client-side only, so only the player's own client needs it and servers do not. It is published for Fabric alone, with a single build, 1.0.0, for 1.21.4. The code is under the MIT License and is not open source, and the mod is not included in any other loader.
Key features
Platform launch
A platform at least 50 blocks high gives a safe starting point for takeoff, and the player can test different heights to find a good one.
Flight mode from a jump
Jumping off a launch platform engages flight mode, so the Elytra can carry the player across the sky without landing.
Elytra upkeep
The player is expected to check and repair the Elytra regularly, which keeps flights smooth and uninterrupted.
Long-distance exploration
Sustained flight lets a player cover vast landscapes and panoramic views, reaching hidden spots on the way.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Sightseeing across a world
A player can use sustained flight to view large terrain and landmarks from above without stopping to land.
Finding hidden areas
Long flights make it practical to search distant regions for caves, ruins and other spots that are hard to reach on foot.
Who it’s for: Players on Fabric who want to explore by flying with the Elytra and are willing to build a tall launch platform first. The mod suits single-player and multiplayer players alike, since only the client needs it.
