Elevators

by ralf2oo2

Elevators, a Babric and Fabric mod for Minecraft b1.7.3, adds elevator blocks that carry players up and down a shaft of matching blocks.

FabricBabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen sourceb1.7.3

What it does

The mod adds elevator blocks inspired by the OpenBlocks mod. A player who right-clicks an elevator is carried to the next elevator above or below it, so a column of them forms a lift between floors. A directional variant instead sends the player horizontally, in the direction it was placed facing, which suits corridors and sideways transport.

Elevators can be recolored by right-clicking a placed elevator with dye, so builds can mark floors or routes with colors. The maximum distance a player can travel between elevators is configurable through Glass Config API, so server owners can tune how far a single trip reaches.

Installation needs Glass Config API and StationAPI, and ModMenu Beta is optional for in-game configuration access. Elevators runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it. It is released under the MIT License and is open source, and snapshot builds are published alongside the releases. Files are for b1.7.3 only, first published on 2025-04-23 and last updated on 2026-05-31.

Key features

  1. Vertical elevator blocks

Elevator blocks carry a player to the nearest matching elevator above or below, forming a lift.

  2. Directional elevators

A directional elevator moves the player horizontally in the direction it was placed, for sideways travel.

  3. Dye coloring

Placed elevators can be recolored by right-clicking them with dye, which helps mark floors or routes.

  4. Configurable distance limit

The maximum distance between linked elevators can be set through Glass Config API.
