What it does

The mod targets duplication bugs that other mods can expose on a server. Modpacks and servers that run several mods can have items copied through these bugs, and the mod is meant to close them without banning the items themselves, so the mods involved keep working as they were.

Most mods for 1.12.2 are no longer updated, so their authors cannot ship fixes. DupeFix Project was created to keep modpacks and servers on that version usable. The mod is published for Forge only, with its latest file, 3.1.6, dated 2023-09-13, for 1.12.2. Players do not need it; it is a server-side only mod.

Because the mod uses Mixin, an incompatible Mixin version can conflict with other installed mods. The author suggests installing Mixin 0.7 – 0.8 to prevent that problem. The mod is released under the MIT License but is not open source.
