Detailed mobGriefing
by takaya7s
Detailed mobGriefing lets server owners switch the destructive behavior of individual mobs on and off, for Creepers, Endermen and Gusts only.
What it does
The mod adds a finer control over mob griefing than the vanilla mobGriefing game rule, which applies to all mobs at once. A server owner can turn off block destruction for one supported mob type while leaving the others unchanged. Only Creeper, Enderman and Gust are supported, so other mobs keep their vanilla behavior regardless of the setting.
Setting values are stored in the game configuration and take effect for the mobs that the command permission allows to change. Changes made after a game has started require command permission. The mod is published for Fabric alone and covers the 1.21 – 1.21.11 range, with files for 1.21, 1.21.1, 1.21.4, 1.21.5, 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8 and 1.21.11.
Server owners install it, and players connect with no copy of their own. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source. The project publishes an issue tracker for bug reports.
Key features
Per-mob destruction control
Block destruction can be disabled for Creepers, Endermen or Gusts individually, leaving other mobs as they are.
Explosion damage setting
A setting turns off destruction from a supported mob, so explosions no longer break blocks while the mob still exists.
Command permission checks
Once a world is running, switching the behavior needs command permission, which keeps it out of the hands of ordinary players.
Japanese documentation
The mod's description includes a Japanese section alongside the English one.
Compatibility
Latest build for each game version and loader.
Only full game releases are shown. This mod publishes no snapshot builds.
Use cases
Who it’s for: Server owners who want to limit block destruction by specific mobs without disabling mob griefing across the whole world. Players on a server that runs the mod need nothing installed.
How it compares
No Creeper Griefing is a Fabric server-side mod under the MIT License, not open source, for 1.20.1 – 1.21.6, and it covers only Creepers. NoCreeperDamage is also server-side, open source under the ISC License, and published for 1.21.5 – 26.1.2, with a Creeper-only scope. Extended Gamerules is open source under the MIT License, server-side and built for 1.21.11, and it changes rules rather than individual mobs.
