Custom Damage Particles is a Forge mod for Minecraft 1.7.10 that displays damage particles, derived from a trimmed build of ToroHealth Damage Indicators.
What it does
Custom Damage Particles is a stripped build of ToroHealth Damage Indicators 1.7.10 that keeps only the damage particles and drops the rest of that mod. Particles appear when mobs take damage, and the setting that controls mob particles can be switched so they always show. Only the client needs the mod, so servers run without it. The only published build is 1.0.0 for 1.7.10, dated 2022-06-01, released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and the mod is not open source.

Always-visible mob particles
A mob setting can be turned on so the particles show for every mob, not only some of them.

This is a stripped version of "ToroHealth Damage Indicators" for 1.7.10 that contains only the damage particles. It also has the feature of only showing the particles when you see the mob, you can disable this by setting "show always particles" to true.
