Custom Advancements
by thedead2
Custom Advancements lets server owners and modpack makers replace the vanilla advancement system with their own set, defined in JSON files placed in a folder.
What it does
Custom advancements are added by dropping JSON files into a customadvancements folder inside the game directory. The mod can also remove certain advancements, edit advancements that other mods add, and reset advancements when a player dies. Translations are supported, so the new entries can be shown in other languages.
Behavior can be changed as well: a parent advancement can be required before its child is reachable, which turns the tree into an ordered path. The order of the advancement tabs on the screen is set in the config, and each tab can use its own background image or a gradient, instead of the repeating textures used by vanilla. Removing or editing advancements can conflict with other mods, and the config can switch the integration with other mods' advancements on or off.
Installation covers the server and each player's game. Files are published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across six release versions, 1.16.5 – 1.21.1, and the code is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
