Cursor Tweaks

by Pathdos

Cursor Tweaks lets players reopen an inventory with the cursor where they last left it, or at a fixed position they choose.

FabricClient-side onlyAll rights reserved1.21.9 – 1.21.11

What it does

When a player closes an inventory and opens one again, the cursor returns to the last place it was left. A separate mode keeps a custom fixed position instead, so the cursor always starts from the same spot. Players can also leave the cursor where it is and open inventories normally, with no memory applied. The settings are changed in the mod's configuration screen, which opens through Mod Menu.

The mod is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players join without installing anything. It requires Cloth Config API for its configuration screen. Files are published for Fabric only, for 1.21.9, 1.21.10 and 1.21.11, with 1.0.0 for 1.21.11 as the latest file. The mod is released under All rights reserved and is not open source, though its source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Cursor memory

The cursor returns to the position where it was last left in an inventory when that inventory is reopened.

  2. Custom fixed position

A mode lets the player set one fixed cursor position that every inventory opens to.

  3. Free cursor placement

The cursor can be moved to any spot and left there, and inventories still open normally.

  4. Configuration through Mod Menu

Mode selection and custom position setup are reached from the mod's settings screen, opened through Mod Menu.
