Create: LazyTick

by PInk_Cats

Create: LazyTick lowers the per-tick workload of Create components on servers, through caching and reduced idle overhead for belts, funnels, chutes, depots, crafters, mixers, saws and basins.

What it does

The mod is a server-side optimization layer built on the Lazy Tick approach. It targets the per-tick workload of Create components that keep running even when nothing changes, and it adds recipe caching so repeated crafting work is not redone each tick. The mod requires Create, Create Fabric on Fabric, and Fabric API on Fabric. Just Enough Items (JEI) and Observable are optional.

Its effect is described as larger in worlds with many Create machines: the author text reports reduced idle overhead and reduced dynamic extra workload for logistics such as large storage and filtering systems. Those figures are the author's own and are not independently verified here. The environment is client and server, so the server and every player need the mod, and it is published for Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across 9 release versions, 1.19.2 – 1.21.1, under a custom license that is not open source.

Key features

  1. Belt and transport optimization

Belts, funnels, chutes and depots are handled with less per-tick work according to the author text.

  2. Idle overhead reduction

The author reports a reduction in the overhead Create components spend while idle, which is the main target of the mod.

  3. Recipe caching

Mechanical crafters, mixers, saws and basins reuse cached recipe lookups instead of recalculating them every tick.

  4. Scaling with recipe count

The author states that the gain grows as the number of recipes in a world increases.

Use cases

Large Create factories

Servers hosting many production lines are the setting the author describes, where per-tick load from Create becomes the limiting factor.

Who it’s for: Server owners running large Create production lines, and players who join those servers. Single-player worlds with few Create machines are not the stated target.

Questions

Does Create: LazyTick need Create Fabric on Forge?

No. Create Fabric is required only on Fabric. On Forge and NeoForge the required dependency is Create itself, alongside the loader's own build of the mod.

Must players install Create: LazyTick to join a server that runs it?

Yes. Installation covers the server and each player's game.

Which file versions are available for Create: LazyTick?

The latest Fabric file targets 1.20.1 and the latest Forge and NeoForge files target 1.21.1, all dated 2026-10-15. Files exist for nine release versions, covering 1.19.2 – 1.21.1.

What the author says

A highly optimized mod based on Lazy Tick, designed to significantly reduce the workload of Create components and their constant usage 🔄. This allows servers to support 2-3 times more Create power production lines compared to pure Create!
