Create: Reclaimed Rocks

by Subthy

Create: Reclaimed Rocks brings back stone blocks that the Create mod no longer includes, such as dolomite, gabbro and weathered limestone.

ForgeClient and serverAll rights reserved1.19.4 – 1.20.1

What it does

Blocks such as calcite were removed from Create in later releases, and this mod reimplements them along with several extra variants. Its original slabs and stairs are included with the blocks. The new stone generates throughout the world, so players who want it in older chunks need to travel to new chunks before it appears. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. Files are published for Forge only, for 1.19.4, 1.20 and 1.20.1, with 0.6-1.20.1 for 1.20.1 as the latest file, released under All rights reserved; the source code is not open source.

Key features

  1. Restored Create stone

Dolomite, gabbro, weathered limestone and similar blocks that Create no longer ships are back in the game.

  2. Extra stone variants

The mod adds further variants of the restored stone types, giving builders more options for terrain and decoration.

  3. Slabs and stairs

Original slabs and stairs are included for the reimplemented blocks, so they can be used in building projects.

Questions

Does Reclaimed Rocks need Create installed?

The author text ties the mod to Create, which the blocks are reimplemented from, so Create is expected alongside it on Forge 1.20.1.

Why don't the new blocks appear in existing terrain?

The blocks generate during world creation, so chunks generated before the mod was added stay as they were. Travelling to new chunks lets them generate.

What the author says

Do you miss the blocks like dolomite, gabbro, and weathered limestone from Create? Blocks such as calcite just aren’t the same, so I wanted to reimplement the Create blocks that were removed post-1.18 and add some additional variants of them. With this mod, you can have them yet again! The base blocks are generated…
