Craftable Items lets players craft items that vanilla Minecraft does not let them craft, such as horse armor, saddles, totems and golden apples.
What it does
The mod gives recipes for items that have no crafting recipe in the base game. Its recipes use materials and arrangements already found in vanilla, so the new items are made from ingredients players can gather in survival. Covered items include leather, iron, gold and diamond horse armor, a saddle, a nametag, a totem of undying, an enchanted golden apple and a skeleton skull.
Craftable Items is a server-side only mod, so only the server needs it and players join without installing anything. It is published for Forge and targets Minecraft 1.20.1 only. The mod is released under the MIT License and is not open source. Players should collect the required resources before attempting a craft, since the recipes use the same materials as vanilla ones.
Key features
Horse armor recipes
Leather, iron, gold and diamond horse armor can each be crafted, so horses can be equipped without finding them in the world.
Saddle and nametag
A saddle and a nametag can be made from common materials, giving players ways to ride and label their horses.
Totem of undying
A totem of undying can be crafted, providing a way to get one without relying on chance drops.
Golden apple variants
A golden apple and an enchanted golden apple are both craftable, using ingredients found in the vanilla game.
