Cold Breath
by sfDesat
Cold Breath adds visible breath to the player character in cold environments, with timing and appearance set by the player's conditions and the in-game settings.
What it does
Breath appears when the player stands in cold biomes and follows realistic breathing intervals. Breathing speed changes with sprinting and health, and breath bubbles show underwater. Altitude also affects the breath, and condensation can show in the morning. Season support covers Serene Seasons and Fabric Seasons, and effects are set per dimension, with the Nether off by default and the End on.
The mod is configurable: the size, color, duration and interval of the breath can be changed, so the effect can be tuned to a particular pack. It is built to stay lightweight. Cold Breath requires Fabric API on Fabric, and it is published for Fabric only across 22 release versions, 1.20 – 26.1.2. The mod is released under the MIT License and is open source.
