ClientID
by Novinity
ClientID lets a server owner see and restrict the mods and resource packs a player's client reports when joining.
What it does
ClientID is a mod-plugin pair: the Fabric mod runs on the player's client and the plugin runs on the server, and both must be installed for the checks to work. Server owners can view the mod and resource pack lists sent on join, and ban specific mods or packs from entering the server. The list of banned entries is changed through the server config. The mod is open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only and is published for 1.20.1 – 26.3.
Because the checks depend on what each client reports, the mod is aimed at server owners who want to limit certain client-side changes. The author describes it as a preventative measure rather than a complete barrier, and suggests pairing it with an anticheat mod for more protection.
Key features
Joining mod report
The server receives the list of mods a joining player reports, so the owner can see what is installed before play begins.
Mod and pack bans
Specific mods or resource packs can be blocked from joining, with the list defined in the server config.
Resource pack list
The resource packs a joining player reports are sent to the server, where the owner can check them against the ban list.
