With CleanCut installed, a click on a mob standing in tall grass or flowers strikes the mob instead of the plant that surrounds it.

What it does

Plants and other objects without real collision, such as tall grass, flowers and a torch, normally absorb a hit or a right-click aimed at a mob behind them. CleanCut changes that so the attack or interaction reaches the mob, and right-clicking a sheep standing in wheat shears it. Pets tamed by the player, members of the player's team and the mount the player is riding are left out of the effect. The mod is client-side only, so a server does not need it and gains nothing from it.

CleanCut is licensed under the MIT License and is open source. Files are published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and the latest builds target 26.3 and 1.21.11, with snapshot builds available.

Key features

  1. Attacks through plants

    Hits aimed at a mob behind tall grass or flowers are applied to the mob, not to the plant.

  2. Interaction through plants

    Right-clicking a mob behind a non-solid block works as if the block were not there, such as shearing a sheep in wheat.

  3. Protected targets

    Tamed pets, team members and the player's current mount are excluded from the effect.
