Fauna brings the dog variants from Minecraft 1.21 to version 1.20.1 and adds new dogs to the Nether, for players who want more animal types on Fabric.
What it does
Fauna ports the 1.21 dog variants to 1.20.1, so tamed and wild dogs appear in more colors and patterns than in the base game. A second group of dogs lives in the Nether, in the Crimson and Warped Forest biomes, where the mod adds biome-aware behaviors. The Nether dogs attack other tamed dogs, but they do not attack their own kind. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod. Fauna is published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.20.1, and its single build 0.1.0 was released on 2025-11-10 under the All rights reserved license, so the code is not open source.
