CDDZ Characters brings Clone Drone-inspired robot mobs, weapons and items into Minecraft for Forge 1.20.1, with a fan-made take on drones and automatons.

What it does

The mod adds three mobs and six items to the game. The mobs are modeled as voxel-style robots taken from the Clone Drone in the Danger Zone setting, including agile drones and towering automatons that appear in different biomes. Each mob drops parts that feed into crafting, so fighting them produces material for new gear.

Spawning follows the time of day and biome. One mob appears in forest and warped or crimson areas at night and drops iron ingots when killed. A second appears on plains at night with red eyes, shoots flame and drops core parts used for a weapon. A third appears on plains during the day, can be tamed without a saddle to guard its owner, and drops blaze rods. The author plans further updates that add more robots and armor pieces.

CDDZ Characters runs on Forge only and is published for 1.20.1, with the latest file 1.0.6 for 1.20.1 in the beta channel. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too. The code is covered by All rights reserved, and the mod is not open source.
