Bouncing Balls, a Forge and NeoForge transportation mod, adds balls that players hold and right-click to hop across the world and reach higher places.

What it does

Players craft a ball by placing a slime block in the centre of a crafting grid with another material around it. Once made, a ball is held in hand and used with a right click, so travel becomes a series of bounces rather than walking or climbing. The balls also cut the damage taken from falls, and some of them can float on water or lava. The mod requires Bouncing Balls API to be installed alongside it. Client and server both need the mod, so the server and every player run it. It is released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only and is open source, with files for 1.7.10 – 1.20.4 and the latest Forge build at 15.0.0 for 1.20.1.

  1. Bouncing travel

    Holding a ball and right-clicking launches the player into a bounce, which reaches higher places than walking.

  2. Reduced fall damage

    The balls soften landings, so a fall that would normally hurt the player does much less harm.

  3. Crafted balls

    Each ball is made from a slime block surrounded by another material, placed in the centre of the crafting grid.
