Better Happy Ghasts – Fly & Ride

by Flanbots

Better Happy Ghasts – Fly & Ride reshapes how players fly and ride Happy Ghasts, with sprint boosts, a Totem of the Weeping Sky and advancements that expand flight survival.

What it does

Reimagined Happy Ghasts make flight survival more interesting than the vanilla mob allows. Players can ride a Happy Ghast and activate a sprint boost that raises its speed by 60 percent. The mod also changes how the mob reacts to items: Wither Roses turn a Happy Ghast withered and sad, and it drops Tears of Deep Sorrow when it does.

Tears of Deep Sorrow come from Bastion and Nether Fortress chests. Players craft Fragments of Deep Sorrow into a Totem of the Weeping Sky, which grants death prevention, an Elytra speed boost and extra bonuses while riding a ghast. Happy Ghasts are also drawn to jukeboxes playing Amos Roddy, and advancements such as Ghast's Lament, Embrace the Sky and Sky Wings Give Way track progress through the content.

The mod runs on Fabric for 1.21.6 – 1.21.9, with files for 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8 and 1.21.9. It is installed on the client and the server, so both need it. It is not open source and is licensed as All rights reserved. A wiki lists the detailed features.
