APS Battles is a Fabric management mod that adds a battle challenge system, tournaments and server-side rule presets on top of Cobblemon.
What it does
Cobblemon is required. APS Battles extends the default Cobblemon battle system with a challenge flow built around a custom Battle Builder screen, where a challenger and the opponent both see and adjust the same match settings before it starts. Rule presets, such as OU and Ubers, can be loaded from the server with one click and synced to every player. A tournament engine handles bracketed play and tracks each match, and a web service publishes a live tournament page that spectators can follow in a browser with real-time updates through SSE.
The mod runs on the client and on the server, so both need it. Files are published for Fabric only, for Minecraft 1.21.1, with 1.0.1 as the latest build from 2026-05-28. The code is not open source and all rights are reserved. Commands sit under the apstour root.

Battle Builder challenges
Selecting another player opens a Battle Builder screen where the match format, rules and clauses are set before the battle starts.
Format and level rules
Battle modes such as Singles and Doubles can be chosen, with a level cap that can enforce level-lock rules for fair play.
Bans and clauses
Specific Pokémon or whole ban categories can be blocked, and competitive clauses can be toggled, including a custom Dry Pass Clause.
Team order before battle
Both players arrange the send-out order of their Pokémon on a Team Order screen after accepting a challenge.
Live tournament page
A built-in web service shows match history and per-player Pokémon previews to spectators as matches progress.
