AnimationRecorder
by GregTao
AnimationRecorder lets a player record an entity's on-screen animation as a GIF, JPG or PNG file, targeted with a hotkey.
What it does
Players target a mob or another entity with a key press, then start and stop a recording with a second key. The captured frames are saved as image files, so animations of mobs can be kept for later viewing. The mod is client-side only, so a server does not need it and players join without installing it.
The mod is for Fabric and covers 12 release versions, 1.16 – 1.19, with files for 1.19 as the latest. It is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 only, and it is open source with public links for source code, an issue tracker and a wiki.
Key features
Animated GIF recording
A recording of a targeted mob or entity can be saved as an animated GIF.
Still image capture
Single frames can be saved as JPG or PNG files from the same targeting keys.
Hotkey targeting
One key targets an entity and another targets the player, and the bindings can be changed in the settings screen.
