Alex's Caves: Refabricated, an unofficial Fabric port, adds six rare cave biomes that sit under the surface Overworld.
What it does
Cave biomes are uncommon, so players have to search for them. The Underground Cabin can be found anywhere in the Overworld and points toward the caves. Loot barrels hold Cave Tablets, and the Cave Compendium guidebook explains the biomes and how to explore them.
The six biomes are Magnetic Caves, Primordial Caves, Toxic Caves, Abyssal Chasm, Forlorn Hollows and Candy Cavity. Each one carries its own blocks, items, mobs and mechanics. Every biome has its own ambient particles, fog, brightness and light color.
The server and every player need the mod installed. Released under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 only, it is open source. Files are published for Fabric and Quilt for 1.21.1, with the latest build 2.0.2-6 from 2026-07-25.
