When a player steps away from the keyboard, AFK Guard can disconnect them automatically once they take damage, so an idle character is not hurt while the game runs unattended.

What it does

After a configurable period of inactivity, which defaults to 30 seconds, the guard switches on by itself. While it is active, taking damage triggers an automatic disconnect from the server. The delay and the status messages shown before and after a disconnect can be customized, and damage sources can be chosen as triggers.

AFK Guard is a Fabric mod for version 26.3 and the 1.21.11 – 26.3 range, where it has five release versions. Only the client needs it, so servers run without it and players install it alone. The code is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution Non Commercial 4.0 license, which means the project is not open source. Source code and an issue tracker are publicly linked.
