YT Party
by ZoeyVid
YT Party lets a group of players listen to the same YouTube audio at the same time, with shared playback controls and a queue.
What it does
YT Party is a client-side Fabric mod. Each player's client fetches and decodes YouTube audio itself, so the server does not stream or host any music. Playback is kept in step across everyone in a party, so the same track plays at the same position for every listener. Play, pause, seek, skip and reorder controls are shared, and changes reach all listeners live.
Queue management is handled through a list editor. Links can be pasted in bulk, with one URL per line, and the queue can be set to repeat or to remove tracks automatically after they play. Parties can be public or private rooms, with invites and permission levels that decide who may change playback. Each player can set a personal volume and turn on an optional now-playing display on the HUD.
Fabric API is required. Solo mode works out of the box, and a server is only needed when a shared party is wanted. The mod is open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 or later. Files target 1.8 – 26.3 across 75 release versions, and the latest Fabric file, mod-2026-10-14-143, is for 26.3.
Key features
Synchronized playback
For every participant in a party, the same track plays from the same point, and a pause or seek reaches all of them at once.
Shared controls
Play, pause, seek, skip and reorder actions reach all listeners in the party as they happen.
Bulk queue and list editor
Several links can be pasted at once, one URL per line, and the full queue can be edited in one place.
Repeat and auto-remove
The queue can repeat, or remove each track after it has played, to keep the list short.
Parties and permissions
Public or private rooms come with invites and permission levels that control who may change playback.

Use cases
Listening together
A group of friends on a server can share one playlist and keep the same track and timing while they play.
Solo listening
A single player can queue videos and listen alone without any server, using the same controls.
Who it’s for: The mod suits players who want shared audio during play on a server, and server owners who host parties for their community. Players who only want solo listening can use the mod without any server setup.

What the author says
Listen to YouTube together in Minecraft — everyone in a party hears the same track at the same moment. Play, pause, seek, skip and edit the queue, and it stays perfectly in sync for the whole room. Audio is decoded and played on each client, so only tiny control messages travel over the network. Source code…
