YellowText

by MisterCheezeCake

YellowText changes the hover color of menu text, buttons and sliders to yellow, matching how older Minecraft releases looked.

FabricClient-side onlyGNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or laterOpen source1.20.1 – 1.21.11

What it does

Hovered text in menus turns yellow, covering text buttons and sliders, in the style of earlier releases. The mod changes only that one color and leaves everything else as it is. Installation is a matter of placing the mod folder into the Fabric mods directory, and Fabric API is not needed.

Only the client needs it, so players install it and servers do not. Files target 1.20.1 – 1.21.11 on Fabric, with 1.0.0 for 1.21.11 as the latest build. The code is under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3.0 or later, and the source and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Yellow hover text

Menu text turns yellow when the pointer rests on it, matching the look of older releases.

  2. Buttons and sliders

The same yellow hover color is applied to text buttons and sliders in the menus.

  3. Single change

Only the hover color is altered, with no other visual or gameplay changes added.

What the author says

YellowText does one thing, it changes the color of hovered text in buttons and sliders to yellow, like it was before 1.15. Nothing more and nothing less. Just drag it into your mod folder, it does not even need fabric api. A backport to older versions on Fabric is currently in progress. Please contact me if you need…
