VS Encumbrance

Weight in VS Encumbrance comes from the Valkyrien Skies 2 block mass data. Items and blocks held by a player add to that player's total load, and once the load passes a soft cap, movement and mining speed drop. The slowdown is meant to reward players who manage their inventory instead of hauling everything at once. The design draws on the encumbrance system of Skyrim.

On Valkyrien Skies 2 ships, the contents of chests are counted as well, so loading a chest changes how the ship's weight is spread across it. Players also shift weight by their own body mass, which means a heavier player changes the ship's balance as they walk around on deck. Forge is the only loader the mod is published for, and it needs Valkyrien Skies 2 to be present on the same side. Every player and the server need a copy of the mod.
