With Villager Transportation, a player can carry a Villager on a Camel's passenger seat or on a carpeted Llama, instead of moving them one step at a time.

What it does

To mount a Villager, the player rides a saddled Camel to the nearest Villager, or guides a carpeted Llama to one. The mod is distributed as a data pack, so it changes how these mounts pick up Villagers without adding new blocks or items. Employed Villagers keep their trades, and biome-specific types such as Plains, Taiga, Jungle or Swamp Villagers can be moved the same way.

Villagers no longer teleport at the player when dismounted, and Llamas no longer gain a speed boost while leashed and ridden. Right-clicking an employed Villager after dismounting from a rideable entity still opens its trades screen, which is a known issue. The mod is available for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt across 1.20 – 1.21.4, and as a data pack, with files for 1.3.3+mod for 1.21.4 as the latest. It is released under All rights reserved, so it is not open source.
