The Vegan Option, a Forge and NeoForge mod by SatanicSanta, adds vegan alternatives to mob drops and lets players play Minecraft under a vegan rule set.
What it does
Players who want to avoid animal-derived items in survival can get drops from mobs through alternate methods. The mod uses ferns, sunflowers, spruce wood and sandstone, among other vanilla blocks and items that go unused by default, to stand in for the drops that remain. It adds no world generation and no new crops, and it leaves the rest of the world as it is.
The mod is open source under The Unlicense and runs on client and server, so both the server and every player need it. Builds cover 1.7.10 – 1.20.4 across Forge and NeoForge, with files for 1.10.2 and 1.20.4 among the latest.
