The Red Grin: Psychological Horror

The Red Grin is built as a paranoia simulation. The entity does not attack at once: it waits, watches from a distance, stalks through darkness and sometimes hides behind trees or appears close behind the player. The horror is paced so that the first few days in a world feel safe, and the threat escalates once the player has settled in.

The mod also adds inventory anomalies, where disturbing notes and glitched images appear in inventory slots without warning, and a Ghost Miner that can be heard approaching through deep caves and can hide inside stone. Its sounds and flashing images are loud and sudden, so the mod is meant for players who accept that risk. It runs on client and server, so the server and every player need it, and it is published for Forge 1.20.1 with the 1.2 build, released 2026-01-27, under All rights reserved.
