Sunblock's Ritual adds a sun ritual progression to Mowzie's Mobs on Forge, where kills earn Sun EXP that players spend on permanent effects.

What it does

Sunblock's Ritual is a Forge addon for Mowzie's Mobs. Mobs killed while under the Sunblock blessing grant Sun EXP, and that experience can be exchanged for permanent effects that make the player stronger. The mod was originally a datapack and was later rebuilt as a Forge mod.

The ritual itself is performed in the world. A golden block shows a hologram of the ritual structure, which is built from sunlight, an Unvuthana crane and a Sol Visage. Before the ritual can be completed the player must take damage without being able to die or fully regenerate, and must stay alive for five minutes. The mod is intended as a challenge, and its rewards are meant for players who finish it.

The mod requires Mowzie's Mobs, and it runs on the client and the server, so both sides need the mod installed. It is published for Forge only, across six release versions 1.20.1 – 1.20.6, with 1.0.2 for 1.20.6 as the latest file. It is released under the MIT License and is not open source.
