Simply Swords Tweaks changes several weapons, Battle Standards and status-effect rules inside Simply Swords, and fixes a few bugs in that mod.

What it does

Simply Swords Tweaks is an add-on for the Simply Swords weapons mod. Its settings adjust how Battle Standards, the Nullification Standard and the Battle Fatigue status effect behave, and several bug fixes correct cases where the original behavior went wrong. Players who want the original balance can switch each change off in the mod's options.

The mod requires S-Lib and Simply Swords; both must be installed alongside it. It is published for Fabric and Forge for 1.20.1, with the latest file 2.1.0+1.20.1 dated 2026-09-30. Servers that run it need every player to install it too. The code is open source under the MIT License, and the source code and issue tracker are public.

Key features

  1. Modern Field option

    A setting that makes the Modern Field option follow the radius changes made to the fields.

  2. Nullification Standard field

    A new field is added to the Nullification Standard, shown in the same color as the Netherfused Gems.

  3. Battle Fatigue cooldown

    A toggle keeps Battle Fatigue off the caster and applies a customizable internal cooldown instead, so drinking milk or cleansing effects cannot skip it.

  4. Battle Standard healing

    A toggle decides whether healing spells or positive effects can heal Battle Standards.

  5. Amplifier fix

    Battle Standards no longer keep a higher amplifier level when the player already has a stronger external one, such as Haste XVI from Twisted Blade.

Does Simply Swords Tweaks need Simply Swords to work?

Yes. Simply Swords and S-Lib are both required dependencies, so both must be installed alongside the mod.

Do the server and the players both need the mod?

Yes. A server running it needs every connecting player to have it too.

Can the Battle Fatigue cooldown be changed?

Yes. The internal cooldown that replaces Battle Fatigue on the caster is customizable in the mod's settings.
