Russian Language Extended replaces parts of the Russian resource pack with its own translation, a client-side Fabric mod for Java Edition players who want Russian text.

What it does

The mod supplies a Russian translation for the game, written as a humorous and culturally flavored version rather than a literal one. It is installed on the client only, so players can use it alone and servers do not need it. It works alongside the Sodium renderer and Iris, and the translation is shaped by native Russian speakers' sense of humor.

The translation includes memes, folklore references and community jokes, so the text differs from the official Russian language file. Players who prefer plain wording can skip the mod and keep the official translation. Builds are published for Fabric across 15 release versions, 1.21 – 26.3, and the latest file, 2.5.0, targets 26.3 and was released on 2026-09-28. The mod is released under the MIT License but is not open source. Mielon's The Sift is an optional dependency.
