One Button Doorbells

by Ferbmicah

One Button Doorbells lets a single button act as a doorbell, so a player can ring one without building a redstone contraption.

FabricClient and serverMIT LicenseOpen source26.1 – 26.1.2

What it does

The mod is aimed at doorbells that fit inside a single block, replacing the note block and redstone setups usually needed to build one. Its stated goal is to store the whole doorbell in one block instead of several. Files target 26.1 – 26.1.2 under the Fabric loader. Client and server: both the server and every player need it, and the code is open source under the MIT License.

Key features

  1. Single-block doorbell

A doorbell sits in one block, where a button rings it directly.

  2. No note block contraption

Players do not have to assemble a full redstone circuit with note blocks to get the sound.

  3. Expanded button options

The author describes the current button setup as limited, and the mod is meant to widen it for doorbell use.

What the author says

Main goal of this mod is to just allow for better doorbells as this way you can have them stored in one block rather than having a whole redstone contraption for the note blocks. In its current state, the buttons are very limited.
