No Hiding
by LunarDiver
No Hiding changes how monsters track a player, so that hiding in a base or behind walls no longer keeps them away.
What it does
Monsters within 256 blocks turn aggressive toward the player as soon as they are in range, and they keep chasing. Creepers that find the player outside a base behave the same way, and a player who tries to tunnel through a wall can still be bombed. The author expects players to find a hiding place regardless, so the base is not treated as safe.
The mod runs on the server only, so players join without installing anything and only the server needs the file. It is built for Fabric and targets 1.19.2 alone, with version 1.0.1 for 1.19.2 as the latest file, released on 2023-08-20. The code is covered by the AFL-3.0 license and is not open source. Its performance impact is described as moderate and depends on hardware. Multiplayer use has not been tested, and the author notes that it is probably never officially supported.
Key features
Long-range aggression
Monsters within 256 blocks of the player become aggressive immediately and stay on the player.
Persistent chasing
Monsters keep chasing instead of losing interest once the player moves out of sight.
Creeper pursuit
Creepers that find a player outside a base still approach, so an outdoor shelter is not safe.
Tunnel bombing
A player who digs a way through walls can still be bombed by creepers.

What the author says
And don't think you are safe in your own base either... Creepers don't take it kindly to be left outside. If they can't reach you, they WILL try to just bomb their way through to you!
