No Friction
by GFBruno
No Friction removes ground friction, so blocks and surfaces in the world behave as if they were ice.
What it does
Movement across surfaces changes once the mod is active: walking, sliding and stopping on the ground all follow the reduced-friction rule, and the effect applies across the world rather than to a single block. Server owners can install it alone, since the server is the side that must run it and players may add it on their own clients. The mod is published for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt, and as a data pack, with files for 26.2 only. The code is under the MIT License, and the project is not open source.
Key features
Ice-like ground
Surfaces across the world slide and carry momentum the way ice does, changing how players move.
Whole-world effect
The reduced friction applies everywhere rather than only to specific blocks, so a world plays differently from start to finish.
Data pack option
A data pack build is offered alongside the loader files for servers that prefer not to install a mod.
Compatibility
