Nether Portal Restrictor
Nether Portal Restrictor stops unwanted Nether portals from forming in a world, while still letting players reach the Nether through Nether Paintings.
What it does
Lighting Nether portals is turned off by the mod, and any Nether portal blocks that would appear during world generation are removed. Players who want to enter the Nether can still do so through a Nether Painting, which gives more control over dimension travel. Files are published for Forge and NeoForge, for 16 release versions 1.18.2 – 26.1.1, under the MIT License, which is open source. Client and server both need the mod, since the server and every player run it together.
Key features
Portal lighting disabled
Players cannot light Nether portals with flint and steel or other means, so portals are not created by hand.
Generated portals removed
Nether portals that would appear through world generation are taken out, keeping the overworld free of them.
Nether Painting access
A Nether Painting remains a way into the Nether, letting server owners control how dimension travel happens.
